Thankyou for downloading the Jabiru B, an Udated aircraft of the original first series Jabiru. I did so many updates for this plane that I am coming out with an entire aircraft, which can be placed in FS2004 with the older version and you will have no problem accessing either one. This version is called Jabiru B, while the previous version is called simply Jabiru. For those of you that have downloaded and installed the second 'Model' of Jabiru with wider wingspan and longer tail, that version in FS is called Jabiru 2, as in 2nd 'Model'.

This flight model was styled after a real Jabiru owned by Shaun Gorham of Australia. Jabiru has picked up keen interest as being a sharp little design for an inexpensive airplane and is now sold in several diffrent countries including Africa and Canada. In this edition of the Jabiru, you will find proper fowler flaps with hinges, steerable nose wheel, a pilot who looks right and left with rudder input, refined config file for better and more realistic flying. The restart problem has been repaired by Ricardo Jones who has done outstanding work with the panel and config file, tuning the Jabiru to more of a realistic model. You will note many details that have been modified, such as a properly reclining pilot, Fowler hinges, detailed and revised parts like latches, fairings, struts, size of rudder, fuel cap, and slight touchups here and there.

I would like to thank Shaun Gorham for his enthusiasm and drive behind the Jabiru project, and Ricardo Jones for his engineering modifications. I would like to include that Shaun and his wife love to frequent Fly-Ins accross Australia in their Jabiru on weekends. (His lovely wife named their Jabiru, Baby Jab).

If you are a Jabiru enthusiast, there are some brilliant photographs of them at www.airliners.net Go to search, and type in Jabiru. You will even find Shauns in there.

This flight model was done in Gmax and is my first airplane to do in Gmax, having made all my previous planes with FSDS2.

[INSTALLATION]

Unzip the main folder into a holding file area, like 'New Downloads' or your desktop. Go to your Panel folder and then into your Guages folder and select all of your guages. Paste them into your Main Guages folder of FS2002 or FS2004.

Next, either drag-and-drop or copy/paste your aircraft file 'Jabiru2' into the Main Aircraft folder of FS2004. You are now ready to fly.

[PANEL]

The Panel Bitmap was actually done off of a photo of Shaun Gorhams 'Baby Jab'. I wished it to be as realistic as possible. The Jabiru's interior sports a very modern look with clean design implementation.

A secondary Switch panel is provided.

Radios, GPS, Throttle Panel, and as mentioned, the Switches Panel, are all accessed by Shift/2 thru to Shift/5.

[FLIGHT]

The Jabiru 2 flies at roughly 100 to 110 KIAS cruise, with 112 KIAS being her maximum airspeed VNE. A subtle cruise for good fuel useage puts you at just over 100 KIAS.

[BUGS]

The doors do not open as of yet. They did on the earlier test planes, but some anamolly now prevents them from opening. Please look for a future fix on this.

This aircraft is Freeware and donated to the Flight Sim public. If you wish to repaint it, feel free. I only request that you mention that this model is by me. This model passed all testing in WinXP in both FS2002 and FS2004. I cannot be held responsible if this program does anything to your system.
